Jul 15, 2006 l have been taking plaquenil for 7 years now, at first it really helped me, l never had any side effect and l went into remission for 5 1/2 years with no pain, but unfortunately the pain started to come back last year, my RA doctor added methotrexate with my plaquenil and its been 8 months now and l haven't had any improvement in fact it is.
